About DEX 101 DJ Workshops

DEX 101 is the first FREE hands-on world touring workshop ever that shows participants how to DJ by introducing them to the basic notions.

DEX101 Montréal Workshop

DEX 101 started as JaBig’s side project to offer free hands-on workshops to introduce to the youth all over the world to DJing as an art, culture and as a prospective professional career, as the Montreal DJ drives around the world by car on a Big Journey” to fight child hunger worldwide.

But before even the very first youth workshop took place, DEX 101 was in high demand from adults that after literally hundreds of enquiries, it was decided that the free introductory program would be made available to anyone no matter the age, race and gender (although in special circumstances priority is given to high schoolers and women) who has a strong curiosity or passion about DJing.

At the end of every DJ jam session, workshop attendees are invited (in a very pressure-free and discrete manner) to make a voluntary financial donation to the United Nations World Food Programme’s School Meals, a worldwide child hunger fighting initiative.

The fun, two-hour DJ programs are held in various venues where groups of up to ten people, who are eager to learn how to DJ, are introduced to the basics of DJing using the very same top-notch equipment and technology used by the leading international superstar DJs.

JaBig, a Montreal international DJ founded DEX 101 to share his passion for music and share his DJ knowledge in communities, cities, countries and continents that he will visit on his overland globetrotting adventure of a lifetime while DJing in diverse locations worldwide to raise awareness and funds for the United Nations World Food Programme, the world’s largest hunger relief agency
